I woke up this morning finding myself looking at a blue sea of duvet. I ate a coissant but while I was making it dance it fell from my up bed onto then carpet, teches you not to play with your food! So I had to get down the ladder and pick it off the floor to finish it. I was going to take my plate and my drink of orange squash to watch tv but my mum told me to get dressed, so I did. Then I stayed in my room while thinking of a medley of songs to sing. I'm in charge of the beautiful pictures that are going to be taken on this holiday! I'm excited! Even if my mum and brother aren't. I want to get out into the fresh air and sunshine and luagh with nature! I'm listening to Heart radio, which makes summer all the more happy!
We made it! I thought we were going to get lost but thank god we didn't! It's just like I wanted it to be here. With large, sunny fields of golden grass swaying in the breeze and a glistening lake. Hopefully, we'll be able to go fishing at some point in this holiday. A golf course is close too and we drove through it to get to the reception. I thought it was dangerous in case someone hit a golf ball and it smashed the window! When my mum and dad came out of reception they told us that our lodge was called Yellow Hammer after the bird, which is a coincidence because my family supports West Ham or The Hammers.
The lodge is very calm-looking with all the shades of blue, it smells and looks clean and it's only fault is that I have to share a room with my brother! As I unpacked the car there was a boy around my age playing football outside so I took most of the heavy bags in order to impress him. Now, we are watching tv while mum unpacks and cleans up. It feels like we've never left home!
I went for two walks around the lake, one with my dad, I took lots of pictures with the worst quality camera for this blog. Then once with my mum and my brother taking pictures with the video camera, which was better this time. I had to get a photo of the clay pidgeon shooting sign because it excited me that I might be able to do it! On my second walk with mum and Josh he moaned about what he was missing and that meant I had to reassure mum which I thought I did quite well. Later, at dinnertime I had to do the same thing but this time it was about this swearing competition we had come up with. Josh had sworn on purpose many times before the competition had even really heated up. Mum announced that the winner, who swore the least, at the end of the week would be awarded £20. So, Josh naturally got annoyed and I agreed that we should equalise and start again, even though I was winning. Good old me! Now I'm off for a walk! Should be fun!
Just now we were watched by cameras and attacked by midges! As we walked around the golf course at a late time the security cameras followed us around as we assessed the course and wandered around a different lake with a dead fish and a rowing boat! Insects s
warmed around my dads head on the way back and we found some rodent and insect baiting stations which really made me feel positive about the accomodation! Now we're back at base after checking out the clay pidgeon shooting field and surrounding scenery. I'm watching two families fishing each showing off to one another while sitting on the veranda!
There are loads of swifts here, riding on the breeze. Gracefully dive bombing into the long swaying grass that I long to fall into and clamber through until I get lost. The ripplings of the lake enhances the mystery of it's murky depths. I wonder what the reed beds hold. Many birds have called and spoken from within it so they must gather there to make their nests. I love writing. "You fill a page with the breathings of your heart." - William Wordsworth. I feel like I can express myself and my emotion through the words, when I want it to something just clicks and ignites a flame of passion inside me to write. I couldn't write books though. I've tried but I've never made a plan for what happens in the story. So even though I love writing and want to share my love for it with you, I couldn't be an author.
I thought was writing this blog because I was bored and had nothing else to do. But now I understand that I enjoy it. The light's starting to go now and I've written 4 pages. I think I'll leave it there for today. Until tomorrow, where a new dawn and adventures await.
