Nearly Getting Stranded! 25th July 10

Last night we watched Chicago which is different but fantastic all the same! It gave me goosebumps with the spectacular dancing.
Me and my brother stayed up till 12 reading. I have to share a room with him which isn't ideal! Since he moans at me constantly like he just did because I left the door of our bedroom open. I didn't want it to make a noise and wake him up but it obviously didn't make a difference seeing as now we're all flopped on bouncy sofas chatting over coffee!
We just got back from a massive round of golf! The course is huge and it's brilliant! Only Dad played. Me and Josh were caddies while Mum was being attacked by flies carrying the laptop case. In the clubhouse the internet didn't work, which was expected, so I couldn't write up my blog! Mum and me had a chat about the holiday and that it hasn't really started yet so we shouldn't moan about it so much, especially Josh. But he perked up after the golf and I nearly got a lily pad flower. I really want one because they're exceptionally beautiful! Even though we nearly got hit in the head with a golf ball it brightened the day, literally! Roast dinner soon!
Lunch was hilarious! Apart from the fact that I firmly told Josh to stop making the holiday revolve around him and no one else. The place where we were told to sit was in a huge sports hall that looked like a church and because of a large row of yellow curtains that stretched along one wall, a private morgue! There were enough old people to make a morgue by the looks of it! Although there was was guy, really handsome and about my age. He sat in a perfect spot where I could check him out because thankfully my gaydar had clicked when I spotted him! A couple of times we locked eyes and I got a crackling warm feeling in my stomach. I tried to flirt but it's hard when you can't talk. Then we left and I hope with all of my heart that I see him again.
Next, we set off to a beach about 10 minutes away and the sea was surprisingly warm, my mum told me, unlike the cold ice cream we had! Mum looked at the craft fair but didn't buy anything then after that Dad lost the keys to the car and got all uptight in a panic. Luckily, we found them where we sat down for a bit on the beach, thanks to me drawing in the sand we remembered the location! Panic over I reassured everyone until we got home after singing to the radio and crashing out on the sofa.
During dinner, which was only little because of our glorious lunch earlier. We joked about chavs and played Go Fish and Snap as well as trying to show off our magic skills! Then we went inside to watch some telly and the flies kept buzzing around annoying me as usual. After chuckling at the latest episode of The IT Crowd we went to bed, trying to work out what the evolution of farts would sound like!

Arriving at the Holiday Shack! 24th July 10

I woke up this morning finding myself looking at a blue sea of duvet. I ate a coissant but while I was making it dance it fell from my up bed onto then carpet, teches you not to play with your food! So I had to get down the ladder and pick it off the floor to finish it. I was going to take my plate and my drink of orange squash to watch tv but my mum told me to get dressed, so I did. Then I stayed in my room while thinking of a medley of songs to sing. I'm in charge of the beautiful pictures that are going to be taken on this holiday! I'm excited! Even if my mum and brother aren't. I want to get out into the fresh air and sunshine and luagh with nature! I'm listening to Heart radio, which makes summer all the more happy!

We made it! I thought we were going to get lost but thank god we didn't! It's just like I wanted it to be here. With large, sunny fields of golden grass swaying in the breeze and a glistening lake. Hopefully, we'll be able to go fishing at some point in this holiday. A golf course is close too and we drove through it to get to the reception. I thought it was dangerous in case someone hit a golf ball and it smashed the window! When my mum and dad came out of reception they told us that our lodge was called Yellow Hammer after the bird, which is a coincidence because my family supports West Ham or The Hammers.

The lodge is very calm-looking with all the shades of blue, it smells and looks clean and it's only fault is that I have to share a room with my brother! As I unpacked the car there was a boy around my age playing football outside so I took most of the heavy bags in order to impress him. Now, we are watching tv while mum unpacks and cleans up. It feels like we've never left home!

I went for two walks around the lake, one with my dad, I took lots of pictures with the worst quality camera for this blog. Then once with my mum and my brother taking pictures with the video camera, which was better this time. I had to get a photo of the clay pidgeon shooting sign because it excited me that I might be able to do it! On my second walk with mum and Josh he moaned about what he was missing and that meant I had to reassure mum which I thought I did quite well. Later, at dinnertime I had to do the same thing but this time it was about this swearing competition we had come up with. Josh had sworn on purpose many times before the competition had even really heated up. Mum announced that the winner, who swore the least, at the end of the week would be awarded £20. So, Josh naturally got annoyed and I agreed that we should equalise and start again, even though I was winning. Good old me! Now I'm off for a walk! Should be fun!

Just now we were watched by cameras and attacked by midges! As we walked around the golf course at a late time the security cameras followed us around as we assessed the course and wandered around a different lake with a dead fish and a rowing boat! Insects swarmed around my dads head on the way back and we found some rodent and insect baiting stations which really made me feel positive about the accomodation! Now we're back at base after checking out the clay pidgeon shooting field and surrounding scenery. I'm watching two families fishing each showing off to one another while sitting on the veranda!

There are loads of swifts here, riding on the breeze. Gracefully dive bombing into the long swaying grass that I long to fall into and clamber through until I get lost. The ripplings of the lake enhances the mystery of it's murky depths. I wonder what the reed beds hold. Many birds have called and spoken from within it so they must gather there to make their nests. I love writing. "You fill a page with the breathings of your heart." - William Wordsworth. I feel like I can express myself and my emotion through the words, when I want it to something just clicks and ignites a flame of passion inside me to write. I couldn't write books though. I've tried but I've never made a plan for what happens in the story. So even though I love writing and want to share my love for it with you, I couldn't be an author.

I thought was writing this blog because I was bored and had nothing else to do. But now I understand that I enjoy it. The light's starting to go now and I've written 4 pages. I think I'll leave it there for today. Until tomorrow, where a new dawn and adventures await.

Party Day!!

My mum woke me up! And I felt lovely and groggy as usual! So I ate a chocolate brioche then went downstairs to watch tv and snuggle into my mum! She'd been to Tesco's at 7 so there was a feast of stuff on the counter! I stayed watching SpongeBob SquarePants though and texted Frances about the arrangements.

I had a doctors appointment about my cluster of verucas on my foot at 9:30 so I hopped into the car and went to see Dr. Quinn. Snivvling and crying kids welcomed me into the surgery and my name was quickly called. So we explained to the doctor and he recommended some medication because the infection was too big to freeze, also we added in my problem about my voice and where I could get counselling about it. He recommended a place for people around my age and in the area so I'm probably going to book an appointment and go in some time soon.

We saw Amber walking towards Fances' house with two massive bags and an umbrella! Once I'd got in to speak to the doctor my phone vibrated constantly in my pocket nagging me as if it was asking me where I was!

So, my mum dropped me off at Frances' and I got lumbered with cooking all the party food. I tell you now, I would never be able to work in a restaurant kitchen! Just heating up frozen food got me all in a fluster with washing the trays, watching the time, drying everything and getting the boxes ready. Whereas they were just doing their make up.

I was gunna head off home until they realized they had to have more hands to carry stuff up the hill to the bus stop. So they wanted me to get on the bus, go back on my own, then get the bus to the party later on in the day.

So I'd cooked the food and now all I had to worry about was getting everyone to the venue all by myself. Charley refused a lift and said she'd go on the bus instead, which even my mum found weird! I got my duvet ready to take and in the car I was rung by Jacob who wanted a lift so we picked him up. When we got there we were the second latest there and we were the leaders of this operation. Even though I didn't know which bus stop to catch the bus at or where we were going! Henry hadn't gotten up yet, so he didn't meet us there on time. But after each heated call with Amber we finally got on the right bus and I was pleased.

I journey was fun sat next to Aimee Turner! She kept me calm. I didn't recognise the route because I hadn't been on the bus that particular way before so everyone was freaking out! But I recognised the stop and we got to the house! So altogether a good journey thanks to me shouting at everyone!

Once we got there Amber and Frances took all the credit for my hard work, I didn't get any. So I felt a bit low and Jacob cheered me up. So we started flirting and I told him I was gay and he said that it was disgusting. Which was nice. Charley kept me happy though! As we play fought eachother with cushions and wrestled on the floor!

I got home... watched a nice film and now I'm being cast off here to read and then sleep! I won't type until next Saturday seeing as I'm on holiday but I'll write a diary when I'm there and I'll type it up when I get back! Night!

Party Preparation Day!

Today was the day that had been arranged for a long time! Frances wanted to throw a house party, but not a house party because that sounds too daunting and scary, for Laszlo leaving and also testing out this house her Grandma had moved out of but still owns. She sold it but the couple that are buying it are moving in in the autumn. So it was empty and we found an awesome use for it! I got up at 9:25 first day of the summer holidays and found my brother watching tv, he left at quarter past 11 to pick up Mark! I thought he was gunna be late to give me a lift to Oakley Vets by quarter to 12. But he wasn't and I felt happy on a full tummy after two chocolate brioches and also because the music being played in his car made me smile.

So I got there on time and Frances wasn't there, she's never on time, so I texted her letting her know that I was on my way through Emmer Green Field towards her house on the magical orange path! We must have someone gone past eachother different ways because I ended up at her house and she was on the orange path! So we were later than Amber when she had to get the bus all the way down and Charley was already there. Frances had taking ages seeing as Amber had phoned her for ages preventing her from being able to wash her hair! We got to Iceland anyway and I was very embarassed that we were late. Frances said she wasn't though which is a bit weird, so I said, "Why not? I thought you were posh?" And she replied. "I'm not that posh! I don't wanna be posh anymore." So we met Amber and Charley while I contemplated this but I quickly forgot about this when the problem of what type of food we were going to choose arose. "Do you think we should get that one?" Just get it! I mean it's only about one pound, just bung it in the trolley! So I left to sit with Charley outside.

There was a homeless woman and her dog that Charley had noticed so she went up to the dog and stroked it. She wants to befriend all animals you see. My mum says touching strangers dogs is unsafe because they could be unclean or hold a disease. But, that's Charley for you, giving me a can of her fizzy drink and handing the woman her spare change. She has a big heart. I felt a bit guilty because I didn't want to approach the lady and her dog because I was frightened, so I made up some stupid excuse that I had to guard the bags. Once Charley had come back she waqs considering buying her some scotch eggs for the dog to eat aswell. But I said that she shouldn't be so caring and she replied that she wasn't caring enough!

Amber and Frances raided the money all I had in my wallet when I still had to catch the bus back home from Woodley where the party house was! Luckily, we didn't have to carry the vast amounts of carrier bags left, Frances' mum came to pick us up! So, we threw all the stuff in the boot and Charley went to walk home.

My house had a freezer so we pulled up there first and raided my house for anything else other than the stuff I'd already picked out! Once we were done we went back to Frances' and got stuff from there aswell! Our raid run was going well! We had even evaded Frances' dad because he didn't know about the party!

At Amber's, the last on our raid run, we got some more goodies! I also met her Grandma but didn't really talk to her as I was only in the house a minute and she was in the toilet!

All set, we were dropped off at the bungalow, or should I say venue for our party? It was the first time me and Amber had seen it and it was really nice! Frances' mum went into the town square leaving us with all the setting up information we needed!

We had transformed the old bungalow into a comfy sociable space! With our job done we had to go and shop in the town square for a few more bits and bobs. In Waitrose we bought some cups and plates but all I was doing was looking at a really nice looking guy! At the till I knew Amber could tell I was checking him out. But I have a boyfriend so I wouldn't have said anything to him. Plus my gaydar's rubbish! I'm getting better though! Frances' mum was behind us at the same till trying to by very discrete and hiding! But we found her and laughed!

After that, we got some very nice chips and sat in a wooden gazebo in the pouring rain! People are fascinating. We watched them and laughed for a while until we saw one of our History teachers.

The rain had died down a bit so we legged it through all the puddles and past the tidal waves of water from the passing cars until we reached the house. We then tried out some of the karaoke CD's and had a laugh until it was 5, then we decided to head off into the thunder storm in out soaking wet shoes to catch the bus. We braved it because it was going to take too long for the rain to die down. I wish we hadn't. Everywhere was flooding and the raindrops were so huge! I was glad when we sat down under the bus shelter! Nick phoned me and I couldn't hear him over the bus traffic! My mum had phoned me before that and like with Nick the phone kept hanging up in the middle of our conversation.

On the bus it was really loud and vibrated loads! We spoke about Kyle and him and Frances' relationship. I said I couldn't give her advise because she said that boys were just a waste of space. I found that offensive! In the rush hour traffic we waved and smiled at some lovely people in their cars! Like Mole Boy and the Happy and Cranky Woman! You do get some strange characters! Also, every other car had a smoker in it which even I found worrying. We waved and blow kissed our friends good bye when we reached our stop and left Amber to go home.

I got home very damp and wet and late for dinner. I spoke to Kial on the phone. Now I'm cosy and warm in dry clothes. Mum and dad are eating out tonight so Josh has his friends round. I'll write to you about the party tomorrow!

Last Day Of Year 10!

I woke up today knowing that it was the last day of year 10. I was excited and ready to start. I didn't phone Kial this morning seeing as the landline phone bill was run up to £120 because of me. It doesn't help that I'm an hour and a half over my minutes on my mobile either. But enough about worrying about that, I opened up all my problems about my life to my mum last night. So I'm gunna get counselling for my insecurities about my voice. Wish should be fun and pleasing.

When I got to school I went to Chinese first and wrote my Drama Evaluation essay while listening and singing to Glee and eating spring rolls! ICT we did nothing because it was our teachers last day so she put on some music from Spotify and we danced to it!

In tutor we took the register and reminisced about the times when Miss Neill thought we were year 11's and how we used to go through the English corridor so that Amber could wait for her ex boyfriend Ollie. Oh how the sun came out when we sang and danced our way throught those times!

By third period we were in Maths which was another pointless lesson with cranky, pregnant lady; Miss Flynn. All we did was watch, well not really watch, a dated programme about a hotel which made no sense! Instead a quiz about Harry Potter quotes arose because Amber's such a nerd she can recite the whole film off by heart! I didn't take part though because I didn't know as much as them.

Fourth period was when we all went to our tutors for relaxing and talking time before we went to the award giving ceremony. Which I got nothing for and I felt a bit disappointed because I take part in a lot of things at school. Oh well, at least I'm a prefect!

Before this we'd arranged to go and watch Eclipse, so me, Amber and Frances walked back to my house so I could get my money. I heard that my brother passed his driving test so I was very pleased for him and told him that when he drove up the road and tooted at me! Anyway, we waited at the bus stop for a while because the bus was 7 minutes late and we chatted about relationships and problems. Chavs got onto the bus once we'd been on it for a couple of stops and they spat out the window which I found revolting. Amber just laughed and I rolled my eyes. We got into town and I had mentioned beforehand that I wanted to go to Macdonalds for lunch.

I ordered 9 nuggets, medium chips and a medium lemonade to take out but then it ended up that we stayed in and checked out guys. One of these guys was apparently Frances' half brother but I don't know if I trust her, he seemed nice though because I was waiting outside the toilets for the girls and he walked past me twice and smiled. In Macdonalds, Laszlo popped up out of the blue! So we talked to Richard, him and Patrick for a bit to kill some time until the film started. I was scared as I made my way anxiously around a cleaning supervisor who threatened to call security on us because Frances purposely spilled her Mars milkshake on the floor, he said he'd remember our faces. He didn't.

The film was good. It was exciting and funny, thrilling and romantic. I think Edward is better looking than Jacob but Amber disagrees.

We went back to Amber's because Frances cleverly left her stuff there making us walk all the way back. But my mum said I could catch the 24 bus back, which we did. I said good bye to Frances and got back home and had fish cakes for dinner with my mum. I watched tv until I got a phone call from Kial. Cleaned the hamsters and then had a bath and here I am! Night!

Dangerous Dodgeball Dodging Day!

Just got in from school. I've had an alright day!

I got up early to wash my hair and get ready, so when I was on the phone to Kial on the way I was really awake and he was really wasn't!

I got to school once he'd said goodbye because he was late. I went to geography and watched a movie about poverty in South Africa sat next to Amber.

Then I went to Drama and played loads of Drama games. But I didn't get a slip of paper that had information about our essays we had to write on them and Miss Mundy didn't give me one either so I'm gunna be in trouble on our last day of school tomorrow.

In tutor my report got sent in the post, which is inconvenient seeing as I'll get it tomorrow and we had to fill in these forms about work experience and what we wanted to do in the future. I went to a primary school and really enjoyed it so I decided that I would consider teaching as a future. What I really want to do and specialise in is performing arts.

Break was boring talking about how everyone didn't want to do Games.

In Games we played dodgeball. Where all the guys get psyched up and angry, so I was scared. I was in a team where there was only one chav so I took that as a positive point. Everyone thinks I'm crap at sport but I just don't try because of the pressure building up so much that if you get something wrong you'll get humiliated and laughed at. So when I heard Yasir say; "Come on man Rowan's still in." I stood my ground and emerged as the last dodgeball player left on the court against three. I can't throw. I can admit that I throw like a girl. So I got jeered at, until I lost.

English was even worse because Amber told me how much Frances talked about Kial and how much better she would be for him than me. We watched Jaws which is really unrealistic and not frightening at all, Amer didn't think so so she went next door and watched Marley and Me instead.

Lunch was when Izzy and Jacob were shaking in their boots about their audition speeches for Head Boy and Head Girl. Izzy had a music video of her singing Ke$ha - Tik Tok but she changed the words to make it into her own funny little lyrics, so kind of like a school parody.
"I wake up in the morning feeling like Head Girl,
Grab my jumper I'm off to school I'm gunna change the world!
Before I leave, drink my tea and eat my cornflakes,
Cuz I know at school I won't eat till break!"
Jacob was going for the sympathy vote, X Factor style, by making sure that Mr, Royale knew about his grandad being on his death bed. Jacob was being very clingy and saying "I love you." Which I found confusing, I have my suspicions. Which brings up the subject of Amber and Laszlo fancying eachother but Laszlo's leaving to America on Saturday. Nathan Luker fancies her too though, so maybe something will happen there.

Chemistry last and everyone was weary so I played most of the games loaded onto Becca's blackberry! Miss Cooke, crazy woman, told me to put it away though so that gave Fern leeway to nag me about copying up her work faster.

I met up with Charley under the green gazebo as arranged earlier in the day and Sasha arrived to give her phone back and she walked with us too because she lives really close to Charley. We spoke about my private life which I felt a bit wary about seeing as I don't trust Sasha much. But I just want to be open about things.

Then I got home and it had been a scorcher of a day so I was glad when I quenched my thirst!

Last day of year 10 tomorrow..

Award Ceremony Performance!

Today I texted Kial at 3 in the morning to tell him I wanted to phone him at 8. The birds were singing and it was starting to get light by this time so I became restless in my sleep. So I got up feeling weary and ate a stale coissant. I rung Kial but his phone was off so I started off to meet Richard. We got to Chinese and I learnt what a clock, washing machine, cooker and CD player was which was because Amber was late so she couldn't distract me!

Second period I got to miss Chemistry, that was good because our teacher's a tad bit crazy, in order to rehearse for this performance me and my friend Beth got chosen to do for the talented student awards. I didn't get nominated so I didn't get a srystal glass paper weight but I didn't mind.

I didn't go to tutor because I had to rehearse so I missed getting my report and after that was break, which was the same as any other break. I spoke to Izzy which was nice because I love her to pieces!

Third period Mrs. Flynn didn't seem all that happy about us leaving to rehearse, she seemed a bit depressed to be honest, but me, Beth and Jake (Beth's boyfriend) decided that it might be because she's heavily pregnant and hates our class. So we rehearsed some more and I felt a bit deserted whilst Beth and Jake had there couple romance happening.

Fourth period was science again, but it was physics this time with Mr, Haskins and we did practical all lesson making electrical circuits and Fern always makes it fun so I didn't get too bored!

Lunch was cut short by the performance. But it was opened by Jacob asking me, "Are you gay?" Which was nice, I wanted to say yes for once and I nearly did. Beth came and collected me and we went to the new hall. She went to get a guitar whilst I stayed with Mr. Santer, who should be the head of music but apparently he's too young which is probably a load of rubbish.

The performance went superbly well event though Mrs. VOD, our music teacher, could tell we were nervous but that faded away as the song went on. I also got complimented quite a lot by my Headmaster, Mr. Royale, and also other people that were in the audience. I caught up with Charlotte Orchard because we hadn't spoken in a while, then I met walked with Amber to meet Charley. She told me how Frances fancied Kial and she wouldn't stop going on about it in Science, which really hurt me. Also apparently she said that she was gunna convert him because she was better than me and she was blonde. I was wondering whether Amber was just trying to stir things up but she wouldn't upset me on purpose like that.

I moaned all the way to Charley's house saying that I was going to just give up. She's my Agony Aunt so she raised my chin a bit. But it was when I got home and spoke to Kial on my mobile for ages and asked him about Frances that I felt better. I asked him out he said yes. Which didn't exactly help my mixed up situation but I won't tell you about that.

Mum and Dad got home so I watched a bit of tv on my own until dinner. That's when I came on here. Write to you tomorrow.
